Position Description

Cambridge Christian School welcomes applications for a part time Development Manager. The key role of the Development Manager will be to improve school revenue through the maintenance and expansion of our donor base.  An ideal candidate will be a committed follower of Christ with strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Job Description

We are seeking a Development Manager with a passion to see growth in the Christian education sector, specifically at and through CCS.  The key role of the Development Manager is to improve the revenue of CCS and its programs by expanding the donor composition, broadening the donor base, and affirming ties within the community to grow the giving of the existing donor base.

Job Requirements    The Development Manager is responsible to:

Create and implement an overall donor strategy for annual and ongoing solicitation, as well as develop and maintain a donor database

Develop a framework for major individual donors

Develop & execute an Alumni donor acquisition, cultivation and retention plan

Identify and build upon potential corporate and church funding sources

Develop a planned giving strategy

Write foundation proposals and seek out new opportunities not currently identified

Enhance the capacity of volunteers and staff to fundraise through coaching and developing straightforward techniques for asking for support

Work with the Principal and Finance Committee to establish funding priorities and develop an integrated work plan to meet these priorities.

Ensure that all reporting requirements are met

Coordinate a capital campaign (future)

Other related duties as required.

Skills Required    The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:

Ability to create and conduct presentations, and to make the “ask” from donors/potential donors

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive customer service attitude, and the ability to network

Able to coordinate and motivate volunteers at times, as well as work independently at times

Database software experience including customer relationship management (donor) databases

Able to work well under pressure and meet set priorities.
