Job Description: A shared role for MBC and Camp Widjiitiwin

We are looking for a mature, self-motivated media specialist, who can work independently and has the demonstrated media skills necessary to fulfill this role part-time at MBC and part-time at Camp Widjiitiwin.

MBC: This person must be gifted, passionate and teachable as they will be working with many people and in many different areas to tell the story of MBC through pictures and video. Their role will encompass many departments and programs including Recreation, Adult, Youth & Kids Ministry, as well as the Stepping Stones program, to document the Summer@MBC experience. This person should have film and video editing experience, and their own software. Additionally, this person may be involved in creating slideshow presentations, and assisting with survey and feedback collection (eg guest video clips).

Camp Widjiitiwin: The purpose of this role is to create memories that last long after the camp session is over! Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Plan and coordinate the filming, compiling, editing and production of multimedia (video and photo) with the purpose of promoting Camp Widjiitiwin, Take photos documenting the campers, activities and ministry of Camp Widjiitiwin on a day-to-day basis Create a weekly camp video as well as an end-of-summer staff video Weekly cabin photos

Applicant must have a wide skill set of video creation and editing. Own equipment and software is recommended. All eligible applicants will be asked to submit copies of videos they have edited and produced.

MORE THAN A SUMMER JOB

Muskoka Bible Centre's seasonal staff participate in Stepping Stones, a 2-4 month residential discipleship experience, which aims to bring youth towards maturity in Christ by Renewing their relationship with God, Connecting them to a healthy community, and Equipping them to do God's work. We recruit 100 + youth (15-25 yrs) for our spring/summer program. We provide life-changing experiences through practical service work, intentional training, leadership development and an encouraging community of believers. It is our hope to build up a new generation of God-directed leaders and equip all participants to actively serve the Lord in their home communities.
