Position Description

My client is a faith based organization located in Brampton Ontario, Canada,

As a Senior Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair for the properties of the organization.

Job Duties:

• Ability to manage a group of 5 to 7 maintenance personnel

• Perform regular preventative maintenance on fixtures and equipment

• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks as required

• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment while performing duties

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

• Operate grounds-keeping power equipment and maintain external property


• Managerial skills

• Secondary school diploma or completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent is an asset 

• 3 to 5 years of work experience in building maintenance considered an asset

• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently

• Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing

• Ability to perform minor repair work

• Strong communication and problem solving

• First Aid skills/ or certificate are considered an asset

Work Conditions:

• Flexible availability may be required

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Safety equipment may be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc. (will be provided)

• Overtime and weekend work as required
