Position Description:

REDWOOD PARK CHURCH (C&MA) provides an 8 month internship to 3 year apprenticeship opportunities for spiritually passionate, adventurous at heart young adults seeking to gain either experience in preparation for full time ministry or a route into full time credentialed ministry with a church family like the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada. You will be an emerging leader with a desire to see God develop you into a catalytic agent for the advance of God's kingdom. Working with both mentors for spiritual and leadership formation as well as coaches for ministry skill development, you will experience a balance of hands on ministry experience as well as theological study and reflection. Graduates of our apprenticeship program have established a strong reputation for spiritually empowered ministry excellence and are highly sought after.
You will be serving with a church family who is sensitive to and inclusive of people from irreligious backgrounds while committed to building a growing community of fully alive missional Christ followers. Our missional ethos and approach to the spiritual life journey is captured by the words “Life, Passion, & Adventure”.
You’ll be joining a full and part-time staff team of 12, including pastors, pastoral apprentices and interns, as well as support staff in a growing church that is around 800 in regular weekend attendance through its main campus in Thunder Bay and satellite campus in Barrie.
The internships and apprenticeships ares based in Thunder Bay, at the head of Lake Superior. Here you’ll experience all the amenities of a small Canadian city set amidst the rugged beauty of an awesome outdoor sports paradise! (Think: fishing, hunting, rock climbing, ice climbing, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, lots of hockey, paintball, ATVing, snowmobiling, even surfing Lake Superior, really!!)
There are a limited number of funded internships and/or apprenticeships available where room & board is provided plus an honorarium of $500 a month. Fully volunteer internships and/or apprenticeships are also available.
