Married since November of 1991, three kids, born 1998, 2000 and 2002. Life in the church has been central since childhood. My wife and I have both grown in a life-long love for Christ and a deep rooted understanding that in whatever capacity, we live to serve him. Although we find all kinds of challenges within the work of church ministry, at the end of the day, I still firmly believe the local church is the central messenger of the gospel and thereby the primary hope for our world. I have also come to appreciate in increasing measure the diversity in which the church can exist and express itself.
As I seek to better understand his plan for me, it seems that God may lead me to either an associate supportive pastoral role in which preaching and teaching are a significant part of the pastoral need, or a lead pastoral role for a small-mid sized church. He has allowed some success through my work in casting vision and setting new courses for ministry works in the church. It is genuinely exciting for me to see the church embrace new ideas about how we can share the love of Christ with the world around us.
