Position Description

Zion Alliance Church (ZAC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a part-time Children's Pastor. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the children's ministry, creating a safe and engaging environment for children to grow in their faith.

Zion Alliance Church is located in Markham, Ontario, with a total congregation of over 300 people, Cantonese and English-speaking. We commit to the evangelical faith of the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada. For more information, please visit our website at <www.zioncma.ca>.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children
• Lead Sunday school classes and coordinate children's programs during worship services
• Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers for various children's ministry roles
• Plan and organize special events and activities for children throughout the year
• Build relationships with parents and caregivers, providing resources and support for their children's spiritual growth
• Plan and organize special events, Children Summer Camp and activities for children throughout the year
• Collaborate with other ministry leaders to ensure alignment and integration of children's ministry within the overall church vision

Requirements:

• A strong personal faith and a passion for children's spiritual development
• Previous experience in children's ministry or a related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and motivate volunteers
• Organizational and administrative abilities
• Flexibility to work on Sundays and attend occasional evening or weekend events
