Position Description

Knox Christian School is seeking a part-time Music Teacher/Band Instructor. This is an approximately 50% position that requires teaching most school days. This teacher/instructor will teach Primary, Junior, and Intermediate students beginner and intermediate music theory, basics of various instruments, some simple choir, and instrumental band. The successful candidate will exhibit mature Christian faith (and alignment with the mission and vision of Knox Christian School), the ability to exemplify that faith in the classroom and in their instruction, an excitement for student learning, and the ability to work well with a team.  Excellent rapport and communication with students and their parents is a must. Demonstrated proficiency with some instruments is required.

Although formal teaching certification is not required for this position, it is preferred.
