Position Description

OMF Canada inspires, equips, and empowers the Canadian church, mobilizing individuals and communities to join in God’s redemptive work among East Asia’s peoples. Our goal, with God’s help, is to see church movements among every East Asian people group.

Mobilization is an essential part of this work. The Director of Mobilization works with the National Director to coordinate OMF’s Canada-wide mobilization efforts and to maximize its effectiveness in accomplishing its vision and mission.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage OMF Canada’s Mobilization Department, including the Community Engagement Team, Serve Asia Team, Mentorship Program, and Inquirers.
  • Lead OMF Canada’s mobilization initiatives through strategic planning and equipping the Mobilization team.
  • Build OMF’s presence across Canada through mission conferences and events, speaking engagements, workshops, and seminars.
  • Network with other Canadian missions organizations and participate in collaborative ventures.
  • Research missions mobilization movements and trends.
  • Connect and work with OMF International Mobilization colleagues worldwide.
  • Serve on the OMF Canada Leadership Team

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role or ministry leadership role.
  • Cross-cultural ministry experience, globally or locally.
  • Mature in Christian character and witness.
  • A passion to see the world reached with the gospel of Jesus and a calling to mobilize Canadian Christians for increased missions engagement.
  • Ability to lead and work well with a team and independently as required.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with various stakeholders, both individuals and organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good facility with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong skills in organization, planning and attention to detail.

Living Situations

  • Must reside in or plan to reside in Canada as a Canadian citizen.
  • Flexibility, a desire to work with a Canada-wide team and willingness to communicate remotely through Microsoft Teams and email.
  • Willing to work some weekends and weeknights.
  • Willing to occasionally travel within Canada.
  • Able to travel to Asia annually to attend OMF International Mobilization consultations and/or vision trips.
  • The approved candidate needs to raise prayer and financial support.
