Lead Serve Asia Coordinator

Lead Serve Asia Coordinator

Company: OMF International - Canada
Location/Address:
10 Huntingdale Blvd.
Scarborough, Ontario , M1W2S5

Position Description

The Lead Serve Asia Coordinator provides leadership to our Serve Asia short-term mission discipleship program. In this role, you will coordinate a team who are passionate to see individuals and groups sent to a wide variety of ministry assignments in East Asia and continue being involved in the global mission of God.

You will be involved in mobilizing, discipling, and equipping Serve Asia workers and their communities to share the good news of Jesus to East Asia’s peoples and beyond.

Short-term workers grow as they prepare, serve and return from their ministry on the field. They gain experience and a heart for people that often leads to long term service or further mission involvement at home. In facilitating this ministry, the Lead Serve Asia Coordinator contributes to the wider involvement of the Canadian Church in global mission.

  • Invest in discipling Canadian Christians into increased global missions engagement

  • Oversee the development, revision and implementation of training and debriefing processes for short-term workers
  • Understand and communicate short-term mobilization priorities to the OMF Canada Serve Asia team
  • Oversee the work of the Serve Asia team, establishing priorities, setting the annual budget, managing workload, and providing training and guidance to team members
  • As a member of the wider mobilization team reporting to the Director of Mobilization, work closely with OMF Canada colleagues to ensure a cohesive mobilization strategy and effective missions discipleship for all Serve Asia Workers and teams
  • Set an example for the Serve Asia team of how to interact with and lead inquirers in godliness, be a supportive team, and set healthy work-life boundaries
