The Operations Administrator will provide different aspects of administrative support for a variety of FreeChurch ministries and activities.
Role & Responsibilities
General
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and annual leadership retreats
- Attend portion of elders meetings upon request
Sunday Ministry
- Work with Sr. Pastor and staff in organizing weekly services
- Manage all operations related to Sunday services
- Recruit and coordinate Sunday volunteer teams
- Create PowerPoint slides for announcements and Sunday services
Communication
- Manage social media and website content
- Prepare and manage church communication via weekly emails
- Along with other staff, be an initial contact for newcomers
- Manage occasional printed materials
- Edit and upload weekly sermon recording to MixCloud
General Administration
- Manage database for membership, volunteers, and Sunday teams
- Work with Treasurer and/or elders in tracking budget and expenses
- Manage facility rental agreement and relationship
Event Planning
- Work with staff in organizing and managing seasonal and special events
Musical Worship
- Schedule and coordinate weekly musical worship teams and leaders
- Manage database of worship songs and lyric decks
- Manage church’s audio technology with volunteer teams
- Meet with worship volunteers quarterly
Required Qualifications
- Understand and align with the mission, vision, and values of FreeChurch
- Possess demonstrated experience in administrative roles
- Strong interpersonal skills in a multicultural setting
- Strong written communication skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Self-initiated and able to work independently
- College diploma or university degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience with website and social media management
- Applicant must be eligible to work in Canada
Desirable Qualifications
- Become a member of FreeChurch
- Graphic design knowledge
Remuneration
- Hourly Wage: $21 / hour
- Health, Dental and Insurance Benefits: after 3 months
- Vacation: 3 weeks per calendar year
