Position Description

The Process and Operations Manager of Donations is responsible for the end-to-end process management and donation operations.

As a Process and Operations Manager of Donations, you will be ensuring that all donations are processed correctly in a timely manner, sending acknowledgements to donors, answering their queries, and sending reports to fund managers and resolving any issues with donations.

This role needs to be served in a full-time capacity. Start Date: Immediately

Responsibilities:

  • Sorting and distributing the mail for the National Office,
  • Opening donation envelopes, coding and entry into donations management system.
  • Process reoccurring and third party direct deposit transactions on a daily basis.
  • Reply to or direct all inquiries related to donations to the correct person.
  • Ensure acknowledgements and tax receipts are printed and mailed or emailed on a routine basis.
  • Run reports at month end and as required.
  • Do month-end donation reconciliation and general journal entries as required.

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Proven Christian character.
  • Available to serve and help, a team player, relates well with people, gracious, polite, prayerful, patient, and readily accessible.
  • Comfortable with general routine tasks, detailed, able to think out of the box and looks for ways to improve the process.
  • Able to work under pressure and ask questions.
  • Does work in the stated standard and in a timely manner.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Types at a proficient speed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to investigate and solve problems.
  • Must reside in Canada and either be a citizen, permanent resident or in possession of a valid work permit.

Assets

  • Two to three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Intending to obtain professional accounting designation.
  • Familiarity with Canadian donation tax receipting regulations.
  • Highly computer literate with advanced knowledge of Excel and Word.
