Position Description

Organization: Hope Church Innerkip
Duration: 10 weeks 

Hours: 35 hours per week
Wage: $17.60 per hour
Start Date: June 2026

Location: Innerkip, ON

Description:

Hope Church Innerkip is seeking an energetic and relational individual to serve as a Child and Youth Worker, supporting our Family Ministries team. This role focuses on direct engagement with children and youth, helping to create meaningful, fun, and safe environments throughout the summer.

  • Working closely with staff and volunteers, you will:
  • Plan and lead youth and children’s events, activities, and gatherings
  • Build relationships with children, youth, and families in the church and community
  • Assist in organizing and running summer events and outreach opportunities
  • Help develop and prepare future programming 
  • Collaborate with the ministry team to create engaging experiences

Qualifications:

  • Must meet Canada Summer Jobs eligibility (ages 15–30 and legally entitled to work in Canada)
  • Strong communication and relational skills
  • Enthusiastic, dependable, and a team player
  • Able to take initiative and adapt
  • Comfortable working with children and youth
  • Experience in childcare, youth work, or leadership is an asset

Training Provided:

  • Orientation to Family Ministries and program expectations
  • Training in working with children and youth (including safety and supervision)
  • Leadership development and event planning support
  • Ongoing mentorship and feedback
