Position Description

Athletes in Action (a division of Power to Change) is a ministry that seeks to help people know Jesus and experience his power to change the world through sport. All AIA staff and volunteers, regardless of their specific roles, are committed to advancing our collective mission. Athletes in Action is a team on mission who lives out three Core Values: To be passionately committed, live in authentic community, and we play together.

Position Overview

AIA Campus Staff are responsible for the fulfilment of the mission and vision of Athletes in Action on their local campus and beyond. This role consists of helping those in varsity athletics discover Jesus, grow in their faith, develop their unique potential and put their faith into action as they impact the world.

  • Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week) or Part-time (16-32 hours/week)
  • Job Region/Location: Québec (Sherbrooke / Montréal)

Primary Objectives:

  1. Share the gospel with not yet believers and disciple to deeper maturity those who know Jesus already
  2. Equip students to become leaders on their team and to boldly share their faith
  3. Network and build relationships with key influencers on campus in order to open doors with different teams
  4. Model AIA value of Play Together to expand our reach

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • You have networking skills and the ability to meet new people
  • You speak French or are open to learning the language
  • You have strong interpersonal skills 
  • You have the ability to work well with others in team setting 
  • You have the able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings 
  • You have the ability to manage your time effectively to achieve objectives

**Funding for this position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses.
