Job Position: Assistant Worship Leader & AV Operator 

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the mission of the Church and is gifted, skilled and experienced in the area of creating worship experiences that provide space for people to encounter God. The AV Operator / Technician is responsible for the set-up, operation, movement and storage of all audio-visual equipment. Potential candidates must have at least one year of experience in an audio-visual function in a church or other organization. This person will have the opportunity to lead one Sunday a month and co-lead with the Worship Leader, collaborating with the team leaders to develop a worship team, ensuring alignment with our statement of belief.

On Position Type: Part-time ( Sundays 9 am to 1 pm and special events ) Hours 20 hours a month, remuneration with appropriate experience. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Worship: 

Help to plan and create special services (Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve, etc.) Oversee worship schedule using the Planning Center Good knowledge of all AV disciplines including audio, projection, video, lighting, livestreaming and related fields. Acts as an audio-visual troubleshooter to help solve any equipment problems. Ability to work independently and with teams under pressure. 

Leadership: 

• Collaborate with the Lead Worship Leader and Team Lead to develop and implement the future direction of the church, ensuring alignment with our Statement on Belief and Practice 
• Work closely with other ministry leaders and volunteers to support various ministries and church activities

Expectations: 

• Follower of Jesus demonstrates the integrity and lifestyle of such a claim 
• Having a strong commitment to and alignment with Catch the Fire Mississauga Church 
• Attending staff meetings 
• Living in such a way that upholds the reputation of Jesus 
• Exercising discernment and caution on social media, recognizing that one represents Catch the fire Mississauga Church 

Qualifications: 

• Proven experience in worship ministry, with a strong background in managing Audio and Visual 
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as an equal in a team environment.
