Position Description

Position: Full-time
Start date: Fall 2025

King Road MB Church is searching for a full-time Pastor of German Ministries. While the role will include planning and implementing our German worship services, it will also have a number of other responsibilities since every pastoral role at King Road carries multiple portfolios. This role also requires fluency in English. The successful applicant will be a man with an unwavering dedication to:

• An historic, orthodox, evangelical Christian understanding of the Bible.  
• Shepherding the flock that God entrusts to his care (1 Peter 5).
• Expository preaching.
• Following Christ’s commands to love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

This pastoral role includes the following responsibilities:

German Ministries (50%)

• Regularly preparing and preaching expository sermons in the German worship service.
• Collaborating with volunteers to plan the music for the German service.
• Prepare for and teach at the weekly German Bible Study.
• Oversight of the content in the weekly German bulletin.
• Consider and care for all German ministry needs as they arise.

Other Ministries and Duties (50%)

• Provide pastoral care, counseling, and discipleship as needs arise.
• Visitation to the sick and elderly.
• Arrange for and officiate funerals in English and/or German.
• Work with the Lead Pastor in the areas of staff administration and church finances.
• Provide leadership to other ministries and committees as requested by the Lead Pastor. 
• Collaborating with staff and volunteer teams to plan annual events.
• Attend various weekly, monthly and annual meetings as requested by the Lead Pastor.

Requirements:

• Degree from an evangelical seminary. Preference given to Masters of Divinity graduates.
• A life exemplified by the qualifications of an elder (1 Timothy 3:1-7).
• Preference given to men with 10+ years of pastoral ministry and/or organizational leadership experience.
• Proven track record of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.
• Affirms the BCMB Confession of Faith and the constitution and bylaws of King Road Church.
   

Annual salary range is $60,000-$80,000 depending on experience. 

This Position will report directly to the Lead Pastor.
