Position Description
The Executive Director (ED) will serve as the face and leader of the Kingdom Resource Centre, guiding the organization through strategic growth, effective administration, and church and community engagement. This pioneering ED will join the Board in crafting and creating this brand-new organization and building it to a healthy place of sustainability. This individual will be responsible for advancing the mission of the organization through strong networking, clear and inspiring communication, and organizational leadership. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a deep commitment to the organization's Christian values, dedicated to fostering a culture of Christ-centred growth and sustainable impact. This is a full-time position reporting to the Governance Board.
A group of Christian pastors, leaders, and business people are creating an exciting new Christian organization and are looking for a strong Christian leader to come and help us create it.
About the Organization
The temporarily named Kingdom Resource Centre will be a brand-new Christian non-profit organization dedicated to equipping and transforming Christians from the Church, marketplace, and the community based on biblical principles, spiritual formation, and practical leadership skills. This Centre will provide growth, renewal, and empowerment for those called to lead in the way of Christ, ensuring a holistic approach to leadership rooted in Scripture, Christian faith, love, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Networking & Communication
- Serve as the primary representative of the organization in the community and beyond.
- Build strong relationships with churches, business leaders, community partners, donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the organization with clarity, authenticity, and professionalism in public settings.
- Proactively seek opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations.
2. Administrative & Organizational Leadership
- Lead the organization’s strategic planning and implementation efforts.
- Oversee legal and administrative functions, including compliance, documentation, and coordination with legal professionals.
- Ensure efficient operations through the development and execution of systems, policies, and procedures.
- Work closely with the board to establish priorities and measure progress.
- Develop a financial fee structure to support the goal of becoming a self-sustaining organization.
3. Team Collaboration & Governance
- Collaborate with the board of directors to align the organization's activities with its mission and vision.
- Maintain open, consistent communication with the board chair and board members to support clarity, direction, and decision-making.
- Foster a culture of transparency, teamwork, and accountability among staff, volunteers, and partners.
Qualifications
- A strong personal commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with the mission of the organization.
- A track record of proven Christian character and healthy leadership skills.
- Proven success in networking, relationship-building, and public speaking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience in nonprofit leadership or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with sound judgment and initiative.
- Completed training programs or educational qualifications relevant to the position are required and should be clearly listed in the application.
- Regular attendance and involvement in a local church.
- Familiarity with nonprofit governance is a plus.
Compensation
This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000, which will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and expertise.
