Calvary Gospel Church is seeking a passionate, creative, and strategic leader to serve as our Children’s Ministries Director. This part-time role (20 hours/week) will be instrumental in bringing the gospel to children and families in our community by developing a Christ-centred, engaging, and transformative ministry. With our brand-new nursery, children’s ministry level, playground, and parent café, this is an exciting opportunity to reimagine how our space can serve our vision: Carrying the gospel to the places we live, work, and play.

What You’ll Do

As our Children’s Ministries Director, you’ll oversee the vision and implementation of our Sunday morning programming, outreach initiatives, and disciple-making strategies to help kids develop a deep and lasting faith. Your responsibilities will include:

Creating an Exciting, Bible-Centred Ministry

• Develop engaging teaching methods that make God’s Word come alive for children.
• Infuse creativity into all aspects of children’s ministries to capture hearts and imaginations.

Engaging Young Families in Disciple-making

• Partner with parents to equip them as the primary faith influencers in their children’s lives.
• Build connections with families to support them in their faith journey.

Leading a Thriving Volunteer Team

• Recruit, train, and encourage a team of dedicated volunteers who share a passion for children’s discipleship.
• Provide clear vision, resources, and encouragement for volunteer leaders.

Utilizing Our Newly Renovated Space for Ministry

• Creatively use our nursery, children’s wing, playground, and parent café to facilitate ministry.
• Develop strategies to make these spaces inviting and impactful for kids and families.

Reaching Unchurched Families in Our Surrounding Neighbourhoods

• Plan outreach events, summer camp programs, and family-friendly initiatives to connect with families beyond the church walls.
• Ensure that our children’s ministries are welcoming, inclusive, and engaging for guests.

This is an exciting time at Calvary Gospel Church! With our newly renovated ministry space, a growing community of young families, and a deep commitment to disciple-making and outreach, this role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our children’s ministries.

We're looking for someone who understands that ministry happens when people gather—this role includes consistent Sunday morning presence and some weeknight availability. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
