Position Description

Parkway Bible Church is a warm and welcoming community of believers located in Scarborough, Ontario. We are associated with the Associated Gospel Churches of Canada.  We value meaningful community, practical Biblical teaching, caring for one another, prayer, and reaching others with the Good News of the Gospel.  

Parkway is looking for a part-time bookkeeper (8-10 hours per week).  The bookkeeper is responsible for managing the financial records of the church with accuracy, confidentiality and integrity.  Core responsibilities include recording donations, processing payroll, making bill payments, maintaining donor records and preparing monthly financial reports.  The bookkeeper will require the ability to communicate effectively with donors and staff, the auditors and will ensure compliance with CRA and AGC guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Demonstrated Christ-like character and integrity 
• Proficiency with QuickBooks
• Strong organizational skills
• Honesty and ability to maintain confidentiality 
• Strong oral and written English communication
• Responsible and dependable
