Who We Are:
Scarborough Community Alliance Church (ScommAC) is a one congregation English speaking church based in Scarborough, worshipping God as one family under Christ. We are evolving from being a predominately second generation Chinese Church to being a diverse body of believers with a heart to reach others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in making disciples of all nations.

SCommAC is seeking a Senior Pastor candidate to continue God’s work as our current Senior Pastor transitions into semi-retirement in 2026. We are looking for a candidate who is called, passionate and gifted for church growth, ministry and management. The candidate must be a servant-leader committed to our mission of loving God, serving others and reaching the lost for Jesus Christ. The candidate will strive to lead our church in fulfilling its vision of disciples multiplying disciples everywhere.
Please Note: We are willing to consider candidates who would prefer to apply as an Associate Pastor with the goal of becoming the Senior Pastor (after one year of training & supervision)
Required Qualifications:
Has a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate, growing, personal relationship with Him. I Masters of Divinity with 8-10 years of full time pastoral experience licensed by The Alliance Canada or eligible for licensure. Strong preaching, teaching, discipleship and pastoral caring skill/gifts, prayer. Proven Christ-like leadership in church management and ministry teams. Ability to nurture, empower, support others for service, ministry. A heart for discipleship, outreach and spiritual health personally and corporately.
Key Responsibilities
Regular preaching and teaching (worship service, adult discipleship classes etc). Chairman of key groups (Elders Board, Elder Nominating Committee, Search Committee etc). Oversees/manages all paid staff and administration. Additional ceremonies: weddings, premarital counseling, ordinances, baby dedications, funerals. Pastoral care: visitation, counseling, ministry leaders, newcomers. Involvement for annual reports, assimilation of newcomers, AGM’s, District Ministry Office. Faithful to uphold the ethical and doctrinal standards of The Alliance Canada and SCommAC Constitution and Bylaws.
