Position Description

Toronto Korean Presbyterian Church is prayerfully seeking a Youth Ministry Pastor to shepherd students in Grades 7–12 to help them know and worship God, and disciple them in the way of Jesus Christ. The Youth Ministry Pastor will serve in partnership with the pastoral team, church leaders, and parents. 

Qualifications:

• Adequate Biblical education, preferably at the college and/or masters level and ability to teach effectively and apply biblical principles in all areas of ministry.
• A vision and a heart for the faith formation of youth.
• Excellent ability to organize, lead, communicate, and work well in a team.
• Adequate experience working with children and/or youth in this age group.
• Preferably conversant in both English and Korean.
• Submission of a Vulnerable Sector police check
• Eligible to work in Canada

Essential Responsibilities:

• Pursue growth in their own faith by maintaining a personal time of study of God’s Word, prayer, and reflection.
• Lead weekly worship service for Growing Disciples youth ministry and organize Sunday programs.
• Organize and provide opportunities for Christian education, leadership, discipleship, and fellowship through programs and activities, such as retreats, seminars, outings, and events, etc.
• Train and support teachers and volunteers.
• Develop relationships with youth and their families.
• Meet regularly with the Education Director and pastoral team for support and accountability.
• Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Expectation of 12-15 hours per week inclusive of planning time.

Stipend will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
