Position Description

Location: 940 Elmhurst Road, Winnipeg, MB

Job Type: 40 hours/week (Tuesday-Friday, Sundays)

Job Summary:

  • Builds training, curriculum, and seasonal teaching for Life Groups. Leads adult discipleship events and fosters spiritual growth through connection, teaching, and leadership development. Works closely with the Life Groups Director to oversees Life Groups.
  • Primary Focus Areas (including but not limited to):
  • Facilitate discipleship teaching & training (weekly Life Group curriculum, spring sessions, etc.)
  • Life Groups (curriculum, structure, health, leadership pipeline)
  • Various events
  • Sunday teaching and leader coaching

Key Responsibilities:

Life Groups:

  • Curriculum writing based on Sunday messages, video teaching, leader resources and coaching
  • Shared oversight of Life Group structure (Oct-Apr season + off-season prep)
  • Leader recruitment and training

Discipleship & Events:

  • Spring Sessions (planning, teaching, coordination)
  • Baptism Sundays, Father’s Day BBQ, Volunteer lounge, Etc.
  • Possibly relaunching singles or marriage ministry (TBD)

Teaching & Pastoral

  • Weddings/funerals (as needed)
  • Potential Sunday teachings during year

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience valued:

  • Degree in theology/divinity or equivalent training
  • Experience developing and leading small group ministries
  • Strong teaching and curriculum development ability (written and spoken)
  • Leadership and mentoring skills for volunteer leaders
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with strength in planning and follow-through
  • Experience coordinating events or discipleship environments
  • Comfortable teaching in Sunday and small group settings
  • A passion for helping people grow in faith and spiritual maturity
