Partnership Development Officers

Company: Hope and Healing International
Contact Person: Cause Leadership Inc.
Location/Address:
1 - 1600 16th Avenue
Richmond Hill, Ontario , L4B 4N6

Position Description

Hope and Healing International believes every child is intentionally created and deeply loved by God — and that every child, regardless of disability or circumstance, deserves to live a full and joyful life.

As a faith-based Canadian international NGO, they serve children with disabilities in some of the world’s poorest communities — ensuring they receive the healthcare, education, and love they deserve.

From their home base in Richmond Hill, Ontario, they partner with hospitals, clinics, and community organizations in Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia to deliver lasting impact.

Mission

Hope and healing for children with disabilities in the world’s poorest communities.

Vision

A world where all children can be all that God created them to be.

Values

  • They value all people as Jesus does
  • Their faith drives them to acts of love
  • They put children first
  • They focus on the ability and potential of every child
  • They’re open and honest

Their programs transform lives every day:

  • Child Health: Providing quality medical treatment, surgeries, rehabilitation, and assistive devices so kids can play, move, and thrive.
  • Family Livelihood: Supporting parents and caregivers through skills training and micro-finance to lift families out of poverty.
  • Education: Training parents and teachers to advocate for children with disabilities and creating accessible schools where every child can learn with dignity.
  • Social Attitudes: Reducing stigma and changing community perceptions so children with disabilities are valued and included.
  • Self-Value: Helping children know that Jesus loves them as they are, nurturing confidence, resilience, and faith.

The Opportunity

If you’re seeking a purpose-driven career that combines your faith, compassion, and strategic relationship-building skills, this role is for you.

Hope & Healing International is looking for two Partnership Development Officers to join our mission and help grow transformational giving across Canada.

In this frontline fundraising role, you’ll connect generous individuals, foundations, and corporate partners to opportunities that change lives. You’ll share stories of impact, build authentic relationships, and invite others to join in the work of bringing hope and healing to children living with disabilities in the world’s poorest communities.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and nurture a portfolio of major donors and prospects (individuals, foundations, corporations).
  • Plan and implement personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for gifts of $10,000+.
  • Conduct regular donor meetings and outreach visits, sharing the mission and impact of Hope and Healing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create compelling proposals, reports, and donor communications.
  • Personally solicit and steward major gifts through meaningful, faith-informed conversations.
  • Track activity, relationships, and outcomes through our CRM system to support growth and engagement.
  • Represent Hope and Healing at events and donor gatherings.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that celebrates creativity, authenticity, and results — with the shared goal of raising over $5 million annually to help children thrive.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A relationship-builder who thrives on connecting with people and inspiring generosity.
  • A self-starter who’s strategic, organized, and driven by results that make a difference.
  • Authentic and faith-driven, comfortable praying with donors and speaking openly about Jesus.
  • A storyteller who can share impact with warmth, empathy, and conviction.
  • Tech-savvy and detail-oriented, with experience using donor databases or CRM tools.
  • Experienced in major gifts fundraising or relationship-based sales (5+ years preferred).

You bring enthusiasm, heart, and a genuine desire to change lives. You are someone who is passionate about connecting people with purpose. You understand that fundraising is about relationships, not transactions, and you find joy in helping donors see the impact of their generosity.

Whether you’re an experienced fundraiser or an emerging professional ready to grow, Hope and Healing will support your success every step of the way.

Why Work with Us

At Hope and Healing, you’ll be surrounded by passionate people who care deeply about children and about each other. They’ve been certified as a Great Place to Work® for their supportive, values-driven culture — where faith and purpose fuel every day.

They offer:

  • Hybrid work model with remote flexibility
  • Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision
  • RRSP contributions up to 5% of salary
  • Generous paid time off – vacation, personal, volunteer, and faith days
  • Early summer Fridays for work-life balance
  • Professional development funding and growth opportunities
  • A mission-centred environment where you can bring your faith to work
