Job description:

Atia Counselling Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker to provide individual and Couple's therapy. The position is remote, and the therapist would be working virtually. 

You’ll be expected to provide exceptional therapy services to individuals and couples, helping them navigate life’s challenges and achieve their personal goals. Collaborate with a dynamic team of therapists to share insights and strategies that continually enhance our services and outcomes.

Compensation for therapy provided to individuals ranges from $60-$75/hour, and therapy provided to couples ranges from $75-$85/hour commensurate with experience and qualifications

Schedule: 8-10 hours/week, 1-2 weekdays and 1 weekend day availability

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and couples therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with your College standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans to meet their evolving needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapeutic skills.

Requirements

  • MUST hold a Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychotherapy. Qualifying Psychotherapists are welcome to apply.
  • Registration in good standing with OCSWSSW or CRPO
  • Demonstrated 2 years of experience in providing direct private therapy services, with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices is an asset.

The ideal candidate

We are seeking someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience or training in specific therapeutic modalities (such as Gottman or EFT), and the ability to work both independently and within a team. 

The ideal candidate demonstrates compassion, empathy, professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical practices. They should be collaborative, client-centred, and comfortable providing free 15-minute consultations to help clients make informed choices.
