Position Overview:
The Co-Impact Program Manager equips communities across Canada to join in the mission and vision of EduDeo Ministries. This role provides leadership, facilitation, and stewardship of EduDeo’s short-term volunteer teams (Co-Impact Program), ensuring volunteers are engaged, trained, supported, and well-represented as they serve alongside EduDeo’s global partners.
Position Goals:
- Provide high-quality leadership and facilitation for EduDeo’s Co-Impact Program, including promotion, training, logistics coordination, and post-trip follow-up.
- Represent and elevate EduDeo’s presence at events across Canada.
- Work with the Key Relations & Strategy Director to identify and engage key advocates of EduDeo’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Stewardship of the Co-Impact Program (60%)
- Recruit volunteer teams from churches and schools across North America.
- Engage Canadian communities through meetings, workshops, and communications that share EduDeo’s mission, vision, impact, and volunteer opportunities.
- Manage all short‑term volunteer teams (Construction and Vision), with particular focus on supporting and engaging team leaders.
- Provide ongoing training and support to team leaders throughout the team life cycle.
- Attend (in-person or virtually) at least one team meeting and/or fundraising event before the teams’ departures.
- Conduct Safe Team training and ensure screening of team leaders and chaperones according to EduDeo’s Safe Team policies and procedures.
- Ensure all teams are well-informed, equipped, and prepared for their time of service.
- Coordinate logistics and in‑country needs with EduDeo staff and host partners.
- Debrief with team leaders and connect with teams upon return.
- Promote EduDeo’s monthly giving program to team members.
- Communicate donor prospects to the Key Relations and Strategy Director.
- Collaborate with the International Partnerships Director (IPD) and partner organizations regarding short-term team opportunities.
- Identify volunteer projects with the IPD.
- Work with partners to coordinate the logistics, details and budget for each team.
- Coordinate with the Accountant and the IPD to ensure program funds are processed and directed effectively.
- Stay current on industry best practices and ensure EduDeo’s compliance through periodic reviews.
- Conduct annual reviews of relevant insurance and safety documents, including Safe Teams policy, Informed Consent & Liability, Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check, Vulnerable Sector Checks, etc.
Co-Impact Program Logistics and Administration (20%)
- Manage physical and digital applications and records for Co‑Impact teams.
- Prepare participant manuals and enroll teams in online training modules.
- Coordinate flight bookings and other travel logistics with EduDeo’s travel agent.
- Work with Operations and International Partnerships teams to facilitate financial disbursements for Co-Impact projects and travel.
Event Representation and Promotion Across Canada (10%)
- Identify, create and promote EduDeo ministry activities across Canada.
- Collaborate with Key Relations staff to develop strategies that steward relationships with current supporters and grow new communities.
- Work closely with Marketing to prepare materials for effective communication.
- Facilitate healthy partnerships with Canadian communities.
- Collaborate with EduDeo staff to host engagement opportunities (e.g., breakfasts, events).
- Represent EduDeo at conferences, team functions, and other events as needed.
Organization (10%)
- Be an active participant of the Key Relations Team (KRT).
- Work with KRT staff to ensure timely gift acknowledgements.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to organizational initiatives.
- Assist with significant organizational events as requested.
- Continue to grow through professional development opportunities.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to Jesus Christ and His church.
- Alignment with the vision, mission, values, and goals of EduDeo Ministries.
- Strong logistical and administrative abilities, including coordinating travel, flights, and detailed itineraries.
- Experience preparing and managing budgets related to travel, events, or project logistics.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing travel documents, timelines, and financial information.
- Highly self‑motivated, ambitious, and adaptable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with our Canadian and international community.
- Strong presentation and promotion skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and personalities.
- Passionate advocate for short‑term volunteer teams.
- Proven experience in training and supervising volunteers.
- Experience with a non-profit mission or development organization is an asset.
- International experience, particularly with short-term volunteer teams is preferred.
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems is an asset.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Ability and willingness to travel, including regular travel within Ontario, approximately one week per year in both Alberta and British Columbia, and about one week of international travel annually.
