The Opportunity

We are seeking a relational and passionate Worship Pastor to join our pastoral team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading worship, developing ministry teams, and contributing to the broader life of the church through preaching and pastoral care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves the local church, values authentic worship, and desires to help others encounter God in meaningful ways.

• Position: Worship Pastor – Pathway Church (Peterborough, Ontario)
• Start Date: March 1, 2026
• Compensation: $25,000–$70,000 per year (based on experience), plus benefits
• Job Type: Part Time (20 hours) or Full Time (40 hours) Depending on the candidate

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the worship ministry team, including musicians, vocalists, and tech volunteers
• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to plan and lead engaging Sunday gatherings
• Onboarding, training, and scheduling the worship teams
• Participate in preaching and teaching opportunities as part of the pastoral team
• Contribute to pastoral care and support within the congregation
• Partner with staff and volunteers to advance the mission and vision of Pathway Church
• Full time Worship Pastor to contribute in other areas of ministry

Qualifications

• Experience leading worship in a local church setting
• Demonstrated leadership ability in ministry contexts
• Some experience in preaching and pastoral care
• College-level training and/or equivalent experience in ministry or theology
• Familiarity with ministry in a Canadian church context
• A relational, team-oriented approach to leadership and discipleship
