Role Overview
The Master Control Operator is the heartbeat of our broadcast operations. This role ensures that every second of our programming—whether live worship, teaching, or special events—is delivered with precision, integrity, and spiritual impact. You’ll manage live air switchers, schedule linear broadcasts, oversee VOD systems, and maintain the technical infrastructure that powers our message to the world.

- Salary Range: CAD $85,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities
Live Broadcast & Master Control
- Operate systems for live switching of services, conferences, and remote events.
- Monitor and maintain on-air signal quality, ensuring seamless transitions and compliance with broadcast standards.
- Troubleshoot real-time issues to prevent or resolve on-air disruptions.
Scheduling & Automation
- Build and manage daily and weekly linear broadcast schedules using Alist Rushworks automation systems.
- Coordinate with programming and ministry teams to ensure timely ingestion and playout of content.
- Maintain metadata accuracy and playlist integrity for all scheduled content.
Networking & Remote Access
- Manage file transfers, downloads, and uploads across local and cloud-based systems.
- Maintain secure remote access for off-site production and ministry teams.
- Support network troubleshooting, file sharing, and system connectivity across departments.
VOD & Digital Content Management
- Curate and publish content to Video on Demand (VOD) platforms with excellence and accuracy.
- Collaborate with digital ministry teams to align VOD offerings with current series and outreach goals.
- Monitor VOD performance and troubleshoot delivery issues.
Administrative & Ministry Support
- Maintain detailed logs for compliance and stewardship reporting.
- Assist with scheduling of technical staff and volunteers.
- Participate in system maintenance, backups, and team prayer/devotionals.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in Master Control or Broadcast Operations.
- Proficiency in Alist Rushworks automation, Rushworks VDesk and Tricaster Mini
- Broadcast networking, remote access tools, and file-based workflows
- Strong understanding of signal flow, NDI/IP-based production, and broadcast compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Satelite files uploads, Air Broadcast and Streaming platforms
- Experience with VOD platforms, encoding, and metadata management.
- A heart for ministry and a commitment to excellence in Christian media.
Preferred
- Diploma or degree in Broadcast Technology, Media Production, or IT/Networking.
- Certifications in broadcast systems or video production tools.
- Experience in faith-based broadcasting or nonprofit media operations.
