The 700 Club Canada

The 700 Club Canada is a dynamic 30-minute daily television program that airs coast to coast in Canada. As the flagship program of The Christian Broadcasting Associates, Inc., The 700 Club Canada is a mix of powerful stories of real people whose lives have been radically changed by the power of Jesus along with devotional segments and interviews showcasing what many Canadians believe.

The Role: Picture and Sound Editor / Graphics Designer

The Christian Broadcasting Associates, Inc. (CBA) is seeking a highly skilled Editor with strong graphics capabilities to join our production team. This role requires a creative storyteller who can cut a dynamic 30-minute daily television program, compelling testimonies, manage complex timelines, and design broadcast-quality graphics that enhance narrative and visual style. The ideal candidate is capable of handling everything from assembly to polished broadcast masters, while also creating and integrating graphics such as lower thirds, full screen graphics, and motion elements.

  • Location: Toronto, Ontario
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday - in office, 5 days a week
  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

Editing Responsibilities

  • Edit full episodes, segments, promos, or digital content in accordance with the show's style and creative direction
  • Experience cutting teasers, promos, or social content
  • For Testimonies - build strong narrative structure, pacing, and emotional arcs from raw footage
  • Ensure continuity and clarity throughout the edit
  • Manage multiple versions and revisions efficiently under strict deadlines
  • Colour correction; colour grading experience
  • Audio mix and sound design, synching and editing - music, SFX and dialogue
  • Sync, organize, and maintain media using best practices for post-production workflows
  • Ability to manage large projects and shared storage systems
  • Familiarity with shared project workflows (shared servers, cloud-based systems)
  • Prepping and exporting files for final delivery
  • Collaborate closely with Executive Producer, Producer, Social Media Coordinator, and Co-Hosts to implement creative notes
  • Other duties as required

Graphics & Visual Design Responsibilities

  • Design and execute on-screen graphics
  • Animations and motion graphics
  • Integrate graphics seamlessly into sequences
  • Maintain visual consistency with the show’s branding and network guidelines
  • Troubleshoot graphic-related technical issues
  • Collaborate with Producers and creative leads on graphic concepts and execution
  • Update graphics quickly in response to editorial notes
  • Other duties as required

Technical Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in both PC Windows and macOS:
    • Adobe Creative including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Express, Photoshop, and Illustrator
    • Media Encoder, Frame.io
    • Production and Post-Production processes
    • Broadcast specs and delivery standards
    • Frame rates, codecs, and aspect ratios

Creative & Professional Skills:

  • Strong storytelling instincts and editorial judgment
  • Experience working in collaborative post-production environments
  • Excellent graphic design sensibility (typography, layout, motion)
  • Ability to balance creativity with technical precision
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback
  • Calm and solutions-oriented under deadline pressure
  • Clear communicator and reliable team collaborator

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience editing for broadcast television, independent or theatrical films, shorts, or streaming platforms
  • A degree in Television / Film Production, Post-Production, or the equivalent experience
  • Portfolio or reel showcasing both editing and graphics work required
  • As the ideal candidate, you will have the following qualifications:
