Position Title: Front Desk Supply Support Staff
Position Type: Part Time / On Call
Hourly Rate: $22.00 / Hour
Start: Immediate (New Position)
Position Summary:
The Front Desk Supply Support Staff is an on-call role designed to provide reception and administrative coverage for the core team as needed. Hours are not guaranteed and are scheduled based on operational needs, including staff absences, vacations, and peak periods. This role supports front-line operations by answering and directing calls, welcoming visitors, and assisting with basic administrative tasks, helping ensure continuity of service and a positive experience for clients, visitors, and staff.
*Evening (3-8pm) and Saturday (9 - 12pm) coverage requirements are regularly required to be filled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet all visitors, volunteers, and service providers
- Ensure proper sign-in for all guests and personnel
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
- Provide information to new or prospective clients about KSM services
- Receive payments and donations and complete required receipt paperwork. (Computer literacy is required).
- Refer individuals to appropriate Halton Region and Oakville community and social services when applicable
- Support a welcoming, calm, and respectful front-desk environment at all times
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Professional, compassionate, and respectful demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and gracious in stressful or emotional situations
- Quick learner with the ability to follow procedures and ask questions when needed
- Alignment with and embodiment of KSM’s mission, vision, and values (KSM CARES)
- Fluency in a second language is considered an asset
- Commitment Expectations: Minimum 6-month commitment
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for relief coverage
