Position Description

Deer Valley Meadows is hiring full-time Summer 2026 positions through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. These roles provide hands-on experience in hospitality, administration, and facilities operations within a nonprofit retreat and campground centre.

Positions Available:

  • Kitchen Helper
  • Housekeeping Helper
  • Administration Trainee
  • Property Maintenance Helper

Job Location(s):

  • Primary location: Deer Valley Meadows, Alix, Alberta (Rural Camp & Retreat Centre)
  • Administration Trainee may also support the CCOGM Office (Central Alberta).

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

Kitchen Helper

  • Assist with meal preparation and food service for camps and retreats
  • Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards
  • Support food storage, inventory, and organization

Housekeeping Helper

  • Clean cabins, guest rooms, washrooms, and common areas
  • Assist with laundry and restocking supplies
  • Follow cleaning protocols and safety procedures
  • Support guest needs when required

Administration Trainee

  • Answer phones and respond to emails
  • Assist with guest bookings and registrations
  • Process payments and maintain records
  • Update databases and spreadsheets
  • Support event coordination and general office operations
  • Assist other departments as needed

Property Maintenance Helper

  • Lawn mowing and landscaping
  • Light repairs and general building upkeep
  • Maintain trails and outdoor spaces
  • Safely operate tools and equipment
  • Support the maintenance team with daily tasks

All roles are full-time (37.5 hours per week), May–August 2026, with potential for extended or long-term employment based on performance and operational needs.

These positions offer paid employment, on-the-job training, mentorship, and experience in a supportive, team-based environment.
