Position Description

Calvin Christian School invites applications for a Secondary French teaching position at our Collegiate campus for the 2026–27 school year.

This position includes teaching French at the middle school and high school level and supporting students in developing language proficiency, cultural understanding, and confidence in communication. We are seeking a passionate and engaging educator who loves working with adolescents and is excited to help students grow within a Christ-centered learning community.

The primary teaching assignment will include Grades 9–12 French, with the possibility of Grades 7–8 depending on enrolment and timetabling. The final teaching assignment and FTE will be determined based on student enrolment and scheduling. There is potential for an increase in teaching time depending on student enrolment and the successful candidate’s willingness to teach additional subject areas. This position may range from part time to full time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Teach French courses to students in Grades 9–12, with the possibility of Grades 7–8 depending on enrolment and timetabling
• Plan engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Manitoba curriculum outcomes
• Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages risk taking and growth
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the life of the Collegiate campus
• Support students’ faith formation by integrating a Christian worldview into teaching and relationships

Qualifications

• Valid Manitoba Teaching Certification
• Bachelor of French or related post secondary degree preferred or demonstrated proficiency in French language instruction
• Experience teaching French at the middle years or senior years level preferred
• Commitment to Christian education
