About All Saints Lutheran Church

All Saints Evangelical Lutheran Church is a warm, faithful, Christ-centered congregation serving the Ottawa community since 1960. We are a multicultural and multigenerational church committed to biblical truth, Spirit-led ministry, and making disciples of Jesus Christ (Mark 10:45).

All Saints Lutheran Church is affiliated with the Canadian Association of Lutheran Congregations (CALC). Position Overview

We are prayerfully seeking a Spirit-filled, full-time Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, preach and teach God’s Word, shepherd the congregation, and equip believers for discipleship and service.

The Pastor will serve as both spiritual leader and ministry partner, working collaboratively with the Church Council, ministry leaders, and congregation to nurture spiritual growth and advance the mission of the church.

Key Responsibilities

Worship & Teaching

  • Lead worship services and preach biblical, Christ-centered sermons
  • Teach and disciple believers in alignment with Scripture and the leading of the Holy Spirit
  • Work collaboratively with worship and ministry teams

Pastoral Care

  • Provide pastoral care through visitation, counseling, prayer, and spiritual support

Administer the sacraments

  • Conduct baptisms, confirmations, weddings, funerals, and other pastoral rites
  • Encourage Christ-centered living within families and homes

Leadership & Discipleship

  • Shepherd and equip the congregation for ministry and service
  • Identify, mentor, and develop leaders and ministry volunteers
  • Welcome newcomers and support members during transitions

Mission & Administration

  • Support evangelism, outreach, and community engagement
  • Prepare an annual ministry plan for presentation to and approval by the Church Council and Congregation
  • Participate in committees and church leadership activities as required

Qualifications

  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ, demonstrating strong faith, integrity, and Christ-like character
  • Ordained and in good standing within a Christian denomination
  • Formal theological education or equivalent experience
  • Pastoral ministry experience preferred
  • Gifted in preaching, teaching, and leading Spirit-filled worship (liturgical/contemporary/charismatic)
  • A servant-hearted, collaborative, and relational leader

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience and education, in alignment with church-sector compensation norms. Details to be determined.
