As a charity, we provide compassionate care through low-fee professional counselling, community engagement, and group programs.
Job Summary
Niagara Life Centre is seeking a professional, compassionate and organized Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing exceptional client care and administrative support. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in office software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the mental health industry is preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: CA$27,500.00 - CA$29,000.00 per year
Qualifications
- A strong personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
- An active member or adherent of a local Christian church.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent ability to organize tasks, people and documents
- Combined education and work experience in office administration, and word processing software (MS Office, Google Docs, etc.)
- Experience in mental health is preferred but not required.
Administrative Duties
- Answer telephones, respond to emails, check voicemail, take messages, and direct all inquiries to appropriate staff.
- Greet clients, process payments and notify counsellors of arrival.
- Greet visitors and connect them with appropriate staff members.
- Assist counsellors in maintaining client schedules.
- Type as required: letters, forms, documents, etc.
- Receive the mail daily and distribute accordingly.
- Log intakes.
- Data entry.
- Collect outstanding balances from clients as required and invoice all third party payors.
- Attend and assist at a minimum of two (2) NLC events annually.
- Other duties as required.
