Position Description

Ottawa Chinese Bible Church (OCBC) is inviting applications for a Summer Intern Youth Pastor to serve in our English Ministry. This position is ideal for seminary students in Canada seeking hands-on ministry experience in a local church setting during the summer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a theological seminary in Canada
• A clear calling or interest in youth and/or children’s ministry
• In agreement with the Evangelical Free Church of Canada (EFCC) Statement of Faith
• (Please refer to “What We Believe” under the “About” section on our website.)
• Chinese language skills considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Preach in English during Sunday worship services
• Teach and lead Youth Sunday School and Youth Fellowship
• Support and provide guidance for Children’s Sunday School
• Serve as a teacher and help the preparation and coordination at Vacation Bible School (August 10–14, 2026) for children ages 4–12
• Provide spiritual care, mentorship, and support to children and youth

• Exhibits strong communication skills
• Desires to grow in pastoral ministry through hands-on experience

Compensation

$2,200–$2,500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
