Position Description

Lead Elder – Centre Church (Red Deer, Alberta)

Church Description

Centre Church is a gospel-centered, deeply relational church located in downtown Red Deer, Alberta. Originally planted in the 1950s, the church relaunched in April 2025 with a simple mission: love God, love people, and serve the city in Jesus’ name. We have a vision to see 100 people respond to the love of Jesus by the end of 2030; by God’s grace, 72 people did in 2025 through various ministry efforts.

Centre Church is part of the Commission family of churches. Our congregation currently includes around 75 people, with an average Sunday attendance of approximately 40–60. The church reflects a mixed demographic with people of all ages and stages of life.

We desire to be a church deeply rooted in the Word, Spirit, and relationships, seeking to replicate the early Church of Acts 2 in the Twenty-First Century.

Job Summary

Centre Church is seeking a Lead Elder who meets the biblical qualifications for eldership as described in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
