Are you looking to develop your skills in leading worship in a local church context?

Forward Church is a multi-site church based in the Region of Waterloo and County of Brant. We are currently seeking a Worship Ministry Intern.

The Worship Ministry Intern will assist the Worship Pastor in leading musicians, supporting worship-related administrative projects, and gaining hands-on experience in the role of Worship Pastor at Forward Church. This role will focus primarily on assisting with worship at Forward Brant and also leading worship for Forward Youth ministries.

The intern will have real-world exposure to worship ministry leadership, including service planning, team building, rehearsals, and production coordination. They will receive intentional mentoring and coaching from the Worship Pastor and ministry leaders.

This is a two year, part time (20 hours per week) internship position that can start any time after July 1, 2026.

The successful candidate will be required to raise their own support for half of the hours in this position. We will assist you in learning how to do this, and believe it will be an important part of growing in your own leadership. If you are unable to raise your full support, we will adjust hours accordingly or work with you for the best possible solution.

Candidates must be able to agree in belief and practice with the Articles of Faith, Covenant of Membership, and Lifestyle Statement of Forward Church.
