Position Description
Canadian Chinese School of Theology Toronto (CCSTT) is a Christian seminary that prepares Christian leaders for ministry and global mission of the church. In partnership with Tyndale university, CCSTT offers fully accredited programs in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). CCSTT is located within the Tyndale campus. We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Admissions and Student Services Officer to support prospective and current students throughout their academic journey. This role is responsible for managing the admissions process, assist with office administrative functions, and delivering high-quality support services that enhance the student experience from application through graduation.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions
- Review and process applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Liaise with Tyndale admissions office on applications in accordance with institutional policies
- Communicate admission decisions and provide guidance to applicants
- Respond to inquiries regarding programs, requirements, and deadlines
Student Services
- Assist students with enquiries, program navigation or administrative challenges
- Provide information on academic policies, procedures, and services
- Coordinate with students and the student union on seminary events and activities
- Refer students to appropriate services such as financial aid and counseling
Customer Service & Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students, applicants, and donors
- Deliver professional and timely responses via email, phone, and in person
- Ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for all students
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of newsletter and promotional materials
Administration & Records
- Generate reports related to admissions and student data
- Coordinate with Tyndale offices for use of premises such as room bookings and mail
- Perform office treasury functions such as cheques handling and posting
- Maintain a list of donations and assist in donor support
Outreach & Engagement
- Participate in recruitment and student events, orientations, prayer meetings and retreats
- Assist with recruitment and promotion efforts at churches and conferences
- Assist with networking and donors events and initiatives
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
- Experience in admissions, student services, or administrative support preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and use of computer
