Position Description

Encounter Covenant Church is seeking a part-time Youth Pastor to lead and invest in our youth (Grades 6–12). We’re looking for someone with a heart for students, a passion for discipleship, and a desire to build meaningful relationships in a growing church community.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is called to youth ministry—whether experienced or  emerging—and is looking to grow in a supportive, team-based environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and disciple youth (Grades 6–12) in their faith journey 
• Oversee Sunday youth structure (Junior High class + Senior High integration in service) 
• Develop and lead a weekly midweek youth gathering 
• Build strong, consistent relationships with students 
• Recruit and support a team of volunteers 
• Plan key events like retreats and the Vision X March Break gathering

Who You Are

• You have a heart for youth and a desire to see them grow in Christ 
• You value relational ministry and being present in students’ lives 
• You can lead, but also enjoy working within a team 
• You are teachable and open to mentorship and growth 
• Previous youth ministry experience is an asset, but not required 

Role Details

• Part-time: ~10 hours/week 
• Sundays required; weekday schedule is flexible 
• Includes one midweek gathering and Sunday ministry involvement

• Compensation: commensurate with experience
