Position Description

Erindale Bible Chapel (EBC) is an independent church founded on, and governed by, the Word of God. It has been in the community of Erindale in Mississauga, Ontario for over sixty years. We are committed to building up and equipping God’s people and sharing the love and gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

We are looking for someone to provide leadership for the children ministry (nursery to middle school and youth) at EBC. This person must be a passionate follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for serving Him, have a genuine love for the local church, with a commitment to excellence, and proven ability as a leader and a heart for ministering to children.

The successful candidate will work with and give leadership to a team of volunteers, and will develop, plan and deliver Christian curriculum, activities in a safe, compassionate and joyful environment.

• Position Title: Children’s Ministry Director - Intern
• Reports To: Senior Pastor
• Hours of Work: Part-Time (20 Hours per week)
• Start Date: As Soon As Possible

MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing vision and direction to children and youth’s programs encompassing; Sunday mornings, Tuesday evening kids and youth programs and events in the summer.
• Ensuring safe and ethical guidelines are maintained and parents are engaged and communicated with on a regular basis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Completed (or nearing completion) of a post-secondary education program of study in a discipline relevant to this position (i.e. theology, biblical studies, education, children’s ministry, etc.)
• This position will be suitable for someone seeking an internship in church ministry.
