The Opportunity
The Finance Administrator plays a key role in advancing AFC’s mission by managing day-to-day accounting, payroll, and budget compliance in order to ensure financial integrity across AFC’s operations. This role is responsible for financial administration, financial reporting, and payroll & compliance, working closely with the Executive Director and AFC Administrator.

What You’ll Do
- Ensure accurate and complete financial records through maintaining effective and efficient systems
- Ensure accurate, timely remittances and filings to respective government agencies
- Maintain accurate internal financial records

Key Outcomes
- Accurate Monthly and YTD Income/Expense reporting and analysis, within 5 business days of period close
- Handle day-to-day accounting (AP/AR, deposits) efficiently and effectively
- Process payroll and staff reimbursements on a semi-monthly basis
- Accurate semi-monthly staff income/expense account updates within 5 business days of pay cycle
- Produce external audit reports (yearly) with zero misstatements
- 100% on-time submission of regulatory filings

- Proven record of meeting deadlines and completing tasks efficiently
- Ability to solve problems strategically and creatively
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- 2–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or non-profit finance.
- Proficiency with accounting software (ex: Sage) and GoogleSuites
- Non-profit experience an asset
- Cantonese/Mandarin an asset
