Position Description
ABOUT US
Crosspoint Fellowship is the English congregation of Chinese Evangelical Alliance Church of Toronto (CEACT). We are a community of approximately 60 people, made up of roughly one-third youth, one-third young adults, and one-third working adults aged 30+.
Our youth program (Grades 7–12) runs two weekly gatherings: Friday Fellowship (7:30–9:30 PM) and Sunday Classes (11 AM–12 PM). We currently have about ~15 youth and expect another 15 to join over the next three years.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
40% — Weekly Gatherings
- Plan and lead Friday Fellowship programs (7:30–9:30 PM)
- Teach Bible lessons in Sunday Classes (11 AM–12 PM)
20% — Team Building & Leadership Development
- Lead and disciple adult volunteers
- Cultivate spiritual formation of the youth committee
- Develop youth leaders to serve inside and outside the church
20% — Pastoral Visits & Spiritual Care
- Weekly visitation (in person or online) to counsel youth and provide spiritual direction
- Build connections with parents to support their children's spiritual growth
10% — Special Events & Outreach
- Plan special events (mission month, Christmas, Father's/Mother's Day, etc.)
10% — Other
- Serve in Sunday services based on your gifts
- Support the broader church community as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Strongly resonates with our vision, mission, and DNA
- 3+ years of experience working with youth or young adults as a counselor, small group leader, or pastor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to pioneer new initiatives and recruit and train team members
- Theological training in an evangelical seminary; a master's degree is preferred
- Aligned with the C&MA statement of faith and our distinctives
- Caring leader with a down-to-earth personality and a passion to lead young people to Jesus
Good to Have:
- Experience in English-speaking youth ministry
- Background in counseling or spiritual direction
- Fluency in Mandarin
