Position Description
The Family Ministry Pastor at Hope Church is responsible for overseeing all ministry programs for children and youth (birth through high school), as well as providing support and encouragement to parents as the primary disciples of their children. This role ensures that Sunday programming, midweek events, and volunteer teams reflect the mission and values of Hope Church, with a focus on developing lifelong faith and a heart for service in the next generation.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Volunteer Leadership and Support: Recruit, train, and care for volunteers who serve in Kids and Student Ministries. Ensure all team members are equipped, supported, and aligned with Hope’s values.
- Sunday Ministry Oversight: Organize and oversee Sunday morning ministry for children from Birth to Grade 8, ensuring safe, welcoming, and Christ-centred environments.
- Youth Ministry Coordination: Plan and lead a weekly gathering for Junior and Senior High students that fosters community, biblical engagement, and spiritual growth.
- Family Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to encourage and equip them in discipling their children at home. Provide resources or events that strengthen family faith practices.
- Ministry Innovation and Planning: Evaluate and adapt ministry strategies to better serve families and students. Think creatively about programs, schedules, and approaches that best reflect Hope Church’s mission.
- Team and System Development: Create and maintain systems that help the ministry scale effectively as it grows. This includes volunteer scheduling, curriculum management, and safety procedures.
- Communication and Administration: Use verbal, written, and digital tools to communicate clearly with families, volunteers, and church leadership. Maintain clear records, planning tools, and follow-up procedures.
