Position Description

Associate Pastor - Senior Youth and Young Adults - Full time

Emmanuel Fellowship Baptist Church is seeking someone who loves the Lord and is passionate about Sr. Youth and Young Adult ministry. Below is a brief overview of the ministries as well as an application form if you are interested in joining our amazing staff team here at Emmanuel Fellowship Baptist Vernon!

1. Senior Youth Ministry (50% approx)

The Associate Pastor will provide overall leadership and vision for Emmanuel's Youth Ministry. He will ensure that this ministry functions in conjunction with the vision of the church.

He will work closely with the other Pastoral staff in an overall team ministry that seeks to live the mission and vision of Emmanuel. This means that we envision young people coming to a personal faith in Christ, being discipled, trained to serve and lead, and being actively involved in our church and community. The Youth Pastor is ultimately responsible for all youth activities done under the church's name and will maintain this responsibility even when others are delegated to lead in specific areas.

2. Young Adults Ministry (40% approx)

The Associate Pastor will provide overall leadership and vision for Emmanuel's Young Adult Ministry. He will ensure that this ministry functions in conjunction with the vision of the church. He will work closely with the other Pastoral staff in an overall team ministry that seeks to live the mission and vision of Emmanuel. This means that we envision young people coming to a personal faith in Christ, being discipled, trained to serve and lead, and being actively involved in our church and community. The Young Adults Pastor is ultimately responsible for all Young Adults activities done under the church's name and will maintain this responsibility even when others are delegated to lead in specific areas.

3. Other Pastoral Ministry (10% approx)

• Pastoral care (visitation and counseling within area of influence and contact)
• Preaching (approx. 2-3 times/year)
• Other church wide ministry

Preferred qualifications:

1. Bible College degree
2. 3-5 years Pastoral experience
3. Drivers License
4. Eligible to work in Canada5. First Aid certification an asset

Annual salary of $52,000 to $65,000 plus benefits.
