Position Description

Location: St. Catharines, Ontario
Position: Part-Time (with the opportunity to grow into a Full-Time position)

Our primary health care practice is seeking a compassionate, highly organized, and dependable Medical Secretary/Medical Office Assistant who is passionate about serving others with excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries courteously.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
  • Process referrals, consultations, and medical correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, hospitals, and community services.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with all privacy legislation.
  • Assist with general administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the clinic.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Medical Secretary or Medical Office Assistant is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • A professional, positive, and caring attitude.
  • Demonstrated honesty, integrity, discretion, and reliability.
  • A commitment to treating every patient with compassion, dignity, and respect.
