Position Description

Position Overview

The Fundraising Coordinator will support ANIDA’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts by implementing approved fundraising campaigns, coordinating donor stewardship activities, maintaining fundraising systems, supporting events and corporate partnerships, and managing fundraising-related communications. Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, the Coordinator will help ensure fundraising activities are organized, timely, accurately recorded, and responsive to donors.

The Coordinator will lead the day-to-day implementation of approved fundraising activities, including ANIDA’s Hope Builders subscription program, donor stewardship, campaign administration, and fundraising reporting. The Coordinator does not independently set fundraising strategy, approve budgets, or publish external messaging without appropriate approval.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fundraising Campaigns & Hope Builders (30%)

  • Collaborate with the Fundraising Manager to implement approved fundraising campaigns and initiatives aligned with ANIDA’s goals and values.
  • Lead the day-to-day implementation of Hope Builders, including donor onboarding, renewals, payment follow-up, donor communications, and reporting, within approved strategies, targets, budgets, and messaging.
  • Support email and online fundraising campaigns, including Constant Contact, donation pages, campaign tracking, and donor outreach.
  • Monitor campaign results and provide updates on revenue, donor participation, acquisition, and retention.

2. Donor Stewardship & Fundraising Operations (30%)

  • Coordinate donor stewardship activities, including acknowledgements, tax receipts, new donor and sponsor follow-up, and recurring-payment follow-up.
  • Respond to assigned donor inquiries and support donor retention and ongoing engagement.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and stewardship activity in ANIDA’s donor CRM.
  • Support donation processing and reconciliation by providing Finance with required information; Finance maintains responsibility for reconciliation and receipting compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain fundraising reports, including campaign results, donor retention, recurring gifts, outstanding follow-up, and CRM accuracy.

3. Fundraising Communications & Digital Giving (15%)

  • Prepare and coordinate fundraising-related email communications, donor updates, campaign materials, and digital content using approved messaging.
  • Support campaign-related social media content and digital outreach.
  • Maintain fundraising-related print and digital materials, including flyers, presentations, short videos, and impact materials.
  • Maintain online donation pages and help ensure a clear, accessible, and seamless donor experience.
  • Ensure fundraising communications and materials are accurate, consistent with ANIDA’s messaging and branding, and appropriately approved before publication.

4. Events & Corporate Partnerships (20%)

  • Plan and coordinate fundraising and donor engagement events, including preparation, execution, donor engagement, and follow-up.
  • Maintain existing corporate relationships, coordinate corporate volunteer visits to the food bank and support corporate orientations.
  • Research prospective corporate partners and support outreach, while referring strategic partnership decisions to the Fundraising Manager or Executive Director.

5. Team & Administrative Support (5%)

  • Provide guidance and coaching to youth or placement students supporting fundraising activities, within the scope established by the Fundraising Manager.
  • Maintain organized fundraising records and documentation.
  • Assist with other reasonable administrative and coordination duties related to fundraising.

Performance Measures

Performance will be assessed based on:

  • Fundraising campaign and revenue results.
  • Hope Builders growth, renewals, recurring gifts, and donor retention.
  • Timely donor acknowledgements, response times, and follow-up.
  • Recurring-payment recovery and completion of required stewardship activities.
  • Accuracy and completeness of donor CRM records and fundraising reports.
  • Event and corporate partnership outcomes.
  • Timely and accurate fundraising communications and digital giving activities.

Knowledge and Competencies

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, Constant Contact, online fundraising platforms, and social media tools is an asset.
  • Knowledge of basic fundraising principles, donor stewardship, campaign administration, and relationship management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with donor records, financial information, and fundraising reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with donors, corporate partners, volunteers, and colleagues.
  • Experience supporting fundraising, donor stewardship, awareness, or community events is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with the Fundraising Manager, Finance, Executive Director, and broader team.
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional non-traditional hours to support fundraising events and donor or community activities.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $58,000 per year. Starting salary is based on the
candidate’s experience and relevant qualifications. ANIDA also offers a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance, a retirement savings plan, and a health and wellness account. We offer one flexible work-from-home day a month and a four-day workweek. Our staff also enjoy monthly Leadership Workshops run by the Executive Director.
