Position Description

Creekside Church is a group of people endeavoring to follow Jesus’ teaching to love God and love people. It is a place where everyone is welcome to explore the message of Jesus wherever they are on their spiritual journey. It is a place of dynamic life-changing worship. It is a place of hope, care and healing. And it is a place that reaches out to serve and love the hurting world, locally and globally. There are 4 physical campuses along with an Online Campus connecting people to the message of hope found in Jesus.  At Creekside these values are lived out practically through welcoming people in and reaching out to the world around us.

The Pastor of Local Outreach & Welcome mandate is to oversee both Local outreach initiatives of Creekside with the Local Outreach Team.  The position is also responsible to maximize the first impression and connection experience of all who attend weekend services at Creekside through the various teams that provide welcome and hospitality.  Lastly, to provide support to the Adult Ministries Pastor at the Waterloo Campus in areas of Care and Next Steps.

You are:

• Equipped with 3-5 years ministry experience serving in the Church and have a ministry degree/diploma
• Able to encourage and lead teams.
• Organized and efficient, especially with time and people management
• An excellent communicator, both orally and written
• A multi-tasking team player with high energy, strong interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude

You will be:

• Planning, organizing and overseeing all aspects of the Welcoming experience at the Waterloo Campus.
• Responsible for planning and executing the Creekside’s outreach events
• Recruiting, training, motivating and building teams for Outreach and Welcome.
• Helping people take Next Steps and assist in Care ministries
