Position Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Construction and Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to building, repairing, and maintaining commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, landscaping, and mechanical systems, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects.

While previous experience with skid steers or construction is certainly an asset, we place a high value on qualities such as integrity, a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Duties

  • Interior renovations and repairs: carpentry, drywall, paint and light framing.
  • Operate heavy machinery such as skid steers for construction and snow removal.
  • Perform landscape maintenance including tree trimming, chemical applications and landscape maintenance.
  • Maintain existing structures, fences, and roofs as required.
  • Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Assist with construction projects. New buildings and renovations.

 

Requirements

  • Ability to operate equipment such as skid steers, hand tools, power tools, etc.
  • Proven experience with construction, landscape maintenance, and snow removal & hauling.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and basic repairs.
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to construction and property maintenance work.
  • Experience with landscape maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

 

Hours

  • Winter schedule as required plus Overtime pay
