105 Gibson Centre (105GC) is a faith-based community care centre, established by the Toronto Christian Community Church (TCCC) in 2013. Striving towards equity, belonging and wholeness, our vision is to be good neighbours who provide hope in God, transforming people by building an inclusive, caring and engaged community together with local partners. Our mission is to serve the local and those in need, and to share with them the compassion and hope of Jesus (Luke 4:18, Micah 6:8).

This position is reporting to the Marketing and Community Outreach Manager.
Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, organized, and community-minded Community Outreach Coordinator to support hands-on execution, event logistics, and community engagement initiatives. Working under the direct instruction of the Community Outreach Manager, the Coordinator will handle day-to-day partner coordination, run promotional booths inside and outside the Centre, connect with event rental groups, and collect post-event feedback to build strong community relationships, while ensuring the Centre's mission is effectively communicated to diverse populations.

Education and Experience Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Event Management, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management, or a related field (an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training will be considered).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in community outreach, public relations, event coordination, or a related role.
- Experience working within the non-profit sector or faith-based organizations is a strong asset.
- Experience in basic marketing is preferred.
- Proven experience organizing events, coordinating with multiple external and internal stakeholders, setting priorities, and managing schedules to achieve project goals.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional staff and guiding or coordinating volunteers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Hands-on experience creating graphic and video content using design tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience engaging diverse community segments, including older adults, youth, families with young children, and multicultural groups.

- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication within a team.
- Creative mindset with a collaborative spirit, comfortable contributing to brainstorming sessions and design direction.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (writing samples may be requested). Spoken fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is an asset.
Duties and responsibilities
This position is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Assist in planning, implementing, and coordinating community outreach projects from start to finish.
- Liaise with internal ministry teams and external partner organizations to ensure all project requirements are met smoothly.
- Coordinate day-to-day logistical details with counterparties under the direct instruction of the Manager.
- Prepare materials and handle hands-on setup and teardown for outreach activities and events.
- Manage and host information booths inside and outside the Centre to actively promote 105GC services. Provide weekend and evening coverage as required for outreach events and booth operations.
- Engage and liaise with rental groups hosting events at the Centre to explore joint promotional opportunities.
- Introduce 105GC services and programs directly to event attendees and venue visitors.
- Compile post-event summary reports to evaluate engagement and identify areas for improvement.
- Promote 105GC’s brand image and ensure all outreach activities strictly align with the Centre’s mission and visual standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by 105GC management from time to time.
Expected Work Schedule
- The position may require occasional evening and weekend hours to support community programs and events.
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on community service and engagement.
- Office-based at the centre, with occasional travel or off-site events as needed.
