Acumen Agency is seeking a Christian HR & People Development Professional to join our growing team. We are a startup with a large vision, working with businesses, entrepreneurs, Christian leaders, philanthropic organizations, and clients across Canada and internationally.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine relationship with God, is authentic in their faith and character, and understands the importance of serving people well. Experience working with Christian organizations, leaders, businesses, or philanthropic initiatives would be an asset.

Although Acumen Agency is a for-profit organization, we have a larger purpose: to build successful businesses, create opportunities, serve people, support employees and communities, and be generous in supporting worthwhile organizations and initiatives.

The Role

This is a people-focused position with an important role in building our team and helping build the companies and projects within our organization. The successful candidate will help identify, interview, onboard, motivate, develop, and support people while helping communicate our vision to prospective team members.

The role may be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate and mutual fit. We are particularly interested in someone who wants to build a long-term career and grow with the organization.

What We're Looking For

• Strong communication and listening skills
• Able to understand, communicate, and share a large organizational vision
• Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in building companies and projects
• HR experience is an asset, but not required
• Comfortable conducting professional video interviews
• Able to conduct efficient initial interviews and schedule multiple interviews when needed
• Able to participate in repeat interviews and panel-style interviews
• Strong note-taking, research, reporting, and documentation skills
• Able to assess people, understand personalities, and determine organizational fit
• Strong computer and administrative skills
• Able to write professional copy and assist with recruitment advertising
• Comfortable working with people from different cultures and countries
• Understands the importance of HR, compliance, organizational structures, and employee development
• Motivating and effective at onboarding new team members
• Independent, organized, and able to get things done without constant supervision
• Able to receive direction from senior leadership and provide clear reports and updates
• Comfortable taking a large vision seriously and helping turn ideas into action
• Professional and capable of representing a corporate organization
• Not easily offended and able to work constructively with different personalities
• Interested in continuous learning and studying the structure, development, and management of organizations and teams
