CAMPUS MINISTRY WORKER

Across Canada there are more than 2 million post secondary students, and 800,000 of these attend one of 146 Canadian Colleges. We are seeking visionary gospel-focused and creative persons ready to step into the vibrant environment of college campus ministry in Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.

With a genuine commitment to following Christ, you will encounter students who are serious about their faith and wish to make eternal impact on their campus, encounter students who are walking away from the faith of their parents, and multiple students who share a different faith or have no faith at all. You will engage students in a variety of creative activities and facilitate multiple conversations about how faith lived out in Christ is different, and you will point students to Jesus Christ and to the local church where faith and service is nurtured.

You are a mature person, preferably married, who isn’t afraid of engaging a culture that is often incongruent to Christianity. You have a pastor’s heart for young adults. You believe in the value of partnerships in ministry. You have demonstrated wise decision-making in a cross-cultural setting as you weave what it means to follow Jesus in the 21st Century post-Christian reality. You are convinced of your faith which makes you ready to be creative in connecting with students from all backgrounds on campus. You are willing to step out in faith as you move into a self-supporting ministry role. And you love the local Church.
