Position Description

Laurentian Hills Christian School is accepting applications for a term teaching position for our Grade 2 students. Consider joining our team of highly skilled and adaptable staff who support students as they seek to engage God’s world with curiosity, creativity and confidence.

The ideal candidate will:

• demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for creating a supportive, and caring learning environment
• show a clear understanding of how to fulfill and reflect the school’s mission and vision within the classroom
• possess strong knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and the ability to intentionally integrate a biblical worldview into teaching practice
• exhibit effective and professional communication skills
• hold experience with inquiry-based learning, Responsive Classroom practices, and restorative discipline approaches (preferred)
• demonstrate proven collaboration skills, with flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to teamwork
• possess the Ontario teaching certificate (or equivalent)

The salary range for this position is $48,000 - $85,000 depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experiences.
